"Younger than Jesus: The Artists Directory is the
product of some of the most wide-ranging research
in the field of contemporary art in years: the first
'Younger than Jesus' triennial at the New Museum.
Working with a team of 200 'insiders' (curators,
writers, teachers, critics, bloggers and artists)
scattered across the globe, curators Massimiliano
Gioni , Lauren Cornell and Laura Hoptman have
selected the 500 best international artists under the
age of 33, from which they will curate the exhibition
component of the triennial in spring 2009. While
most generational exhibitions are retrospective, this
one will be predictive, anticipating the future and
revealing upcoming trends. Younger than Jesus:
The Artists Directory will therefore be an
unparalleled resource for curators, collectors,
dealers and critics. By serving as a handbook to
current artistic innovation, it will also appeal to
artists, designers and anyone curious about the
latest developments in visual culture."

part of the Beijing 798 Biennial, to open on August 15 2009. A catalogue will be edited on
occassion of the show.

Joaquin Segura will be participating in the Third Biannual LA><ART Benefit Auction, to be held
on November 15 2009. Featuring the work of 100+ artists, this auction supports the leading
non-profit contemporary art space of Los Angeles, CA.

VIBA Festival (Video arte Internacional Buenos Aires) is a young and independent project
dedicated to the diffusion of contemporary video art from Argentina and the world during the week
of the 22 to 29 of November, 2009. VIBA seeks to bring video art and city life together; taking video
to the streets of Buenos Aires, allowing the cosmopolitan, urban atmosphere to create new ways of
seeing and enjoying a form of art in movement that keeps growing in the local and international art
scene.
This year VIBA will be featuring two video works by Joaquin Segura, among other international
artists.
